In the fall, the Ethics Institute helps organize and host a symposium on a timely and relevant topic. In addition to collaborating with campus partners, industry experts and others, the team continues to explore unique opportunities to grow the event and identify intersections between key areas.
The second annual Ethics Week was held in February 2026. The Ethics Institute partners with units and departments across campus to cover unique topics and offer a variety of programs. Be sure to visit the event page to learn more as we approach the winter series.
Michigan State is actively engaged in serving as a leader in research, education and real-world impact of artificial intelligence (AI). This includes offering collaborative opportunities for the campus community, where various perspectives can be explored and considered. The AI Summit held in May 2026 provided enriching discussion, and the team looks forward to engaging Spartans in future events.
In addition to the annual events listed above, our team is engaged with partners across campus to organize, host and support other opportunities to get involved. As we learn about events happening across campus, we will add them to our website and increase awareness among faculty, staff and students.
