MSU Ethics Week

Ethics Week, which will take place from Feb. 17-21, 2025, is an innovative initiative spearheaded by the Ethics Institute in collaboration with the university's Ethics centers. The week aims to delve into the myriad of ethical dilemmas and topics prevalent in campus life and academic discourse.

The core mission of Ethics Week is to actively involve students and faculty in meaningful conversations about ethics, encouraging a campus-wide engagement with contemporary moral challenges. Each day is dedicated to exploring different aspects of ethics, focusing on issues that resonate with our current societal context, such as Freedom of Speech, Artificial Intelligence, and other pertinent themes.

Ethics Week endeavors to foster a reflective and forward-thinking academic environment by adopting an overarching theme that reflects pressing ethical concerns. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with these themes through a variety of formats, including panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions, all aimed at stimulating dialogue, critical thinking, and collaboration across disciplines.

Ethics Week represents a unique opportunity for the university community to come together to explore the complexities of ethical decision-making in the modern world, setting the stage for ongoing discourse and discovery in ethics.
